The Gone with the Wind nightdress

Vivien Leigh Nightdress by Exeter Digital Humanities on Sketchfab

A 3D model of a nightdress costume from the 1939 adaptation of Gone with the Wind worn by Vivien Leigh in her role as Scarlett O'Hara. The nightdress was discovered at Topsham Museum in 1992 in a chest of drawers. The nightdress might have been given to the museum's founder, Dorothy Holman, by other members of Vivien Leigh's family, or by Vivien Leigh herself. Dorothy Holman was Vivien Leigh's sister-in-law when she was married to Herbert Leigh Holman in the 1930s. The pair divorced in 1940 but remained good friends throughout their lives. Dorothy Holman accepted several items from Vivien Leigh's life and career into the museum collections.
