Topsham Museum volunteer collections manager Rachel Nichols adjusts the mounting of a travel dress owned by Vivien Leigh.
The suit was worn for a trip abroad with her former husband Leigh Holman and daughter Suzanne Farrington in the 1950s during her campaign to prevent the closure of the St James's Theatre in London.
The suit was difficult to mount because of its very small size (a children's mount had to be used to photograph other Vivien Leigh dresses at RAMM because her outfits were so small) and because of the fall of the sleeves.
Rachel is pictured here trying out different poses in order to convey an impression of the dress as it might have looked when worn.
