A photograph of Vivien Leigh (then Vivian Hartley) on her wedding day, 20 December 1932. Vivien Leigh married Herbert Leigh Holman at the Catholic Church of St James in London. The diaries of Leigh Holman's sister, Dorothy Holman, recorded that: 'the bridesmaids were quite perfect in the loveliest dresses possible', and that the service was 'very short & casual.'
The image also shows a portion of the BMD Records with Births, Marriages and Deaths from 1837-2005, officially recording the marriage in 1932.
