This card is no. 10 in a series of 36 cigarette cards of famous love scenes in film. The main image depicts Vivien Leigh as Cynthia Burley and Laurence Olivier as Michael Ingolby in the film Fire Over England. The reverse of the card describes the plot of the 1937 film:
'Tudor England provided many great romances, and a war between England and Spain added tempestuous hope and anxiety to the love affair between Michael and Cynthia. The lovers were parted when Michael adventured into Spain as a spy. He was caught, but fought his way out of the Escurial and returned to England to lead the fireships which turned the Armada into a blazing inferno. With troublesome times ended the pair consummated their happiness in marriage.'
