A tie-in edition of the novel Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. The famous 1878 novel was adapted to film in 1948 with Vivien Leigh starring in the lead role. The film was produced by Alexandra Korda for London Films. It was not financially successful and Vivien Leigh's performance was not well received by British critics. This tie-in edition was released to coincide with the release of the film adaptation features Vivien Leigh centrally framed in a cropped image from the film.
