This dress was made for Vivien Leigh in the 1950s by the designer 'Harald of Mayfair'. The dress was later given to her daughter, Suzanne Farrington, who made alterations to the garment. The dress was then donated to Topsham Museum, founded by Suzanne Farrington's aunt, Dorothy Holman, and later passed on to the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter.
